Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug 25: South Andaman authorities have reviewed security and logistical arrangements at four examination centres ahead of the NEET PG-2026 examination on August 30, with officials assessing preparedness to ensure an orderly and secure test for candidates.
The examination will be conducted at four centres in South Andaman District: Dr B.R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (DBRAIT), Dollygunj; SIS Computer Education, Middle Point; and two centres at India Technology, Middle Point.
A joint inspection of all four venues was conducted by Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman, Purva Garg, Superintendent of Police (District), South Andaman, Shweta K Sugathan, Additional District Magistrate Priyanka Kumari, along with the concerned Executive Magistrates and examination centre in-charges.
The inspection focused on arrangements that could directly affect the conduct of the examination, including security and law-and-order measures, seating capacity and layout, and the movement of candidates through entry and exit points.
Officials also assessed the deployment of examination personnel, availability of essential amenities and other logistical requirements at the venues.
The concerned officers and officials were directed to complete all necessary arrangements before the examination and comply strictly with the prescribed guidelines and protocols.
The District Administration said it is putting measures in place for the examination to proceed in a fair, transparent, secure and peaceful manner. Departments and personnel involved in the arrangements have been instructed to maintain coordination and respond promptly to requirements that may arise during the examination.
The emphasis on advance coordination is intended to ensure that operational requirements at the four centres are addressed before candidates arrive for the test.
Candidates have been advised to reach their designated examination centres well in advance on the examination day. They have also been asked to carry the documents required by the examination authorities along with only those examination materials permitted under the applicable instructions.
Candidates have further been advised to follow the directions issued by the examination authorities throughout the examination process.
The district-level inspection comes as preparations enter the final stage for the August 30 examination. Officials from the district administration, police, magistracy and examination centres are coordinating arrangements across the four venues.
The administration said the necessary arrangements are being made at all four centres to support the safe and secure conduct of NEET PG-2026.
With the examination scheduled for August 30, the authorities have placed emphasis on security, venue management, staffing, amenities and adherence to examination protocols. The final preparations are being undertaken ahead of the arrival of candidates at the designated centres.
The administration has reiterated that all concerned personnel must maintain coordination and ensure compliance with the prescribed procedures during the examination.
