News Reporter Recruitment Process from 2023 Cancelled Due to Administrative Reasons

Date:

Sri Vijaya Puram, April 28: The recruitment process for the post of News Reporter under the Directorate of Information, Publicity and Tourism (DIP&T), Andaman and Nicobar Administration, has been cancelled, with authorities citing administrative reasons for the decision.

The announcement affects all candidates who had applied for the position following the vacancy notification issued on April 28, 2023. The recruitment process had also been published on the official e-recruitment portal of the Administration.

Officials confirmed that the decision to cancel the process has been formally communicated to applicants, bringing an end to the selection exercise initiated nearly three years ago. No further details have been provided regarding the administrative grounds cited for the cancellation.

The move effectively nullifies the earlier notification and halts any ongoing or pending stages of recruitment related to the News Reporter post within the Directorate. Candidates who had applied under the 2023 notification will no longer be considered under the cancelled process.

The Directorate of Information, Publicity and Tourism is responsible for disseminating government information and managing public communication, making the News Reporter role a key position in the department’s functioning.

Authorities have not indicated whether a fresh recruitment process will be initiated to fill the post in the future. The cancellation leaves the position unfilled for the time being.

The update has been issued as part of an official notice to ensure that all applicants are informed of the status of the recruitment process.
