Sonipat, Oct 30: Mumbai Police have arrested a 12th accused from Haryana’s Sonipat district in the firing incident targeting Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff’s car, with investigators examining financial transactions and digital communications to establish the links among those arrested. The latest arrest has brought the number of accused from Sonipat to nine, making the district a key focus of the investigation.
The accused, identified as Amar, was arrested from Rohna village. Police said he is a friend and neighbour of Kunal, who was arrested earlier in the case. Investigators are scrutinising a series of alleged bank transfers involving the two men and another accused, Radha, to establish the purpose of the payments and the relationships between the suspects.
According to the investigation, Kunal allegedly transferred Rs 40,000 to Amar’s bank account. Amar subsequently transferred Rs 12,000 to Radha’s account, allegedly acting on Kunal’s instructions. Police are examining the transactions as part of the wider probe into the firing incident.

Amar, who studied up to Class 10, works at a supplements shop. His parents reportedly earn their livelihood through daily-wage labour. After his arrest, police produced him before a court and are preparing to take him to Mumbai on transit remand for further investigation.
Amar’s family has maintained that he is innocent and alleged that he has been falsely implicated in the case.

Investigators are also examining the alleged use of encrypted messaging platforms Signal and Zangi by the accused. Police officials face difficulties decoding the digital exchanges, with conversations spanning the past eight months considered important to tracing the alleged conspiracy.
The investigation is therefore focusing on both the financial dealings and communication links among the suspects. Police are seeking to establish the sequence of events and determine the individual roles of those arrested.
With 12 people now arrested, including nine from Sonipat, investigators are continuing to examine the connections between the accused, the movement of money and their alleged communications.
