TGCE Emerges Overall Champion at A&N Inter-College Fest Sanskriti-2026

TGCE emerged as the overall champion with 2701 points, followed by ANCOL and JNRM. Director of Education Dr. Keshav Narendra Singh praised students for showcasing talent, discipline and unity, while TGCE Principal Dr. Manjulata Rao appreciated the coordinated efforts of organizers and participants.

Sri Vijaya Puram, May 7: The valedictory ceremony of the A&N Inter-College Fest Sanskriti-2026 was held with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor, marking the successful conclusion of a vibrant series of cultural competitions conducted among participating colleges across the Islands.

The event witnessed active participation from students representing various higher educational institutions, who showcased their talent, creativity and spirit of unity through a wide range of cultural activities centred on the theme of patriotism.

Addressing the gathering as the chief guest, Dr. Keshav Narendra Singh appreciated the efforts of all participating colleges, organisers and students for making the festival a grand success.

He praised the participants for displaying exceptional talent, discipline and teamwork throughout the competitions and encouraged students to continue nurturing their creative and cultural abilities alongside academic excellence.

Dr. Singh also congratulated the winners and highlighted the importance of cultural activities in promoting national integration, confidence and leadership qualities among students.

Based on the cumulative scores achieved across all events and competitions, Tagore Government College of Education (TGCE) emerged as the Overall Champion of Sanskriti-2026 by securing an impressive total of 2701 points.

Andaman College (ANCOL) secured the second position with 1389 points, while Jawaharlal Nehru Rajkeeya Mahavidyalaya (JNRM) finished third with 1085 points. All winning participants and teams were felicitated during the valedictory ceremony in recognition of their achievements and performances throughout the fest.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Manjulata Rao lauded the collective efforts of the Cultural Fest Coordinator, faculty members, organising committees and students whose coordinated planning and teamwork ensured the smooth and successful conduct of the inter-college festival.

She appreciated the enthusiasm shown by students from different institutions and said such events provide an important platform for youth to express their artistic and cultural talents while fostering camaraderie and healthy competition among colleges.

The event concluded with appreciation for all participating institutions and organisers for contributing to the success of Sanskriti-2026 and strengthening the spirit of cultural unity among students in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
