SVPMC Launches Survey of Salons, Spas and Beauty Parlours Across All 24 Wards

Date:

Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug 24: The Sri Vijaya Puram Municipal Council (SVPMC) has launched a comprehensive survey of hair-cutting salons, barber shops, beauty parlours, spas, unisex salons and similar establishments operating within municipal limits, with the exercise aimed at updating official records and compiling essential information on such businesses across all 24 wards.

The survey commenced today and will continue until the exercise is completed. Dedicated survey teams have been deployed to visit commercial establishments across the municipality to collect basic details relating to the businesses and their premises as part of the record-updation process.

According to the Municipal Council, the exercise is intended solely to prepare and update municipal records of establishments operating within the city. Officials said the information collected during the survey will help maintain updated records of commercial establishments functioning under the jurisdiction of the civic body.

Survey personnel visiting the establishments will carry valid identity cards issued by the Sri Vijaya Puram Municipal Council. Proprietors and occupiers have been advised to verify the identity cards before providing information to ensure that only authorised personnel conduct the survey.

The Municipal Council has clarified that no fee, charge or payment of any kind will be collected from proprietors or occupiers during the survey. Officials emphasised that the exercise is strictly for the collection and updation of municipal records and does not involve any financial transaction.

As part of the survey, teams will collect basic particulars relating to each establishment. A photograph of the premises will also be taken and included in the documentation process.

The exercise covers hair-cutting salons, barber shops, beauty parlours, spas, unisex salons and other similar establishments operating within the municipal limits. Authorities have requested all proprietors and occupiers of such establishments to cooperate with the survey teams by furnishing complete and accurate information during their visit.

The Municipal Council has appealed to stakeholders to extend full cooperation so that the survey can be completed efficiently across all 24 municipal wards. Officials stated that accurate information from business owners will assist in maintaining updated municipal records covering the establishments operating within the city.

The survey forms part of the Municipal Council’s effort to ensure that official records relating to commercial establishments remain current and comprehensive. Authorities have reiterated that the exercise is administrative in nature and requested all concerned establishments to facilitate the work of the authorised survey teams during the ongoing field visits.
