Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 8: The route and starting arrangements for the 5-km RED RUN Marathon scheduled for September 11 have been revised due to the ongoing Police Recruitment Process, with participants advised to use specified roads to reach the venue.
The Andaman and Nicobar AIDS Control Society (ANACS) has announced that the marathon will now begin in front of JNRM. Participants will proceed from JNRM to Flag Point, followed by Mazar and the Science Centre, before returning along the same route to finish at JNRM.
The route change comes in view of the Police Recruitment Process, which may lead to the blocking of other routes approaching the event venue. ANACS has therefore advised participants to plan their approach to the starting point accordingly.

Participants can reach the venue through RGT Road, Machi Line Road, South Point Road or Corbyn’s Cove Road. These routes have been identified as the available approaches to the JNRM starting point amid possible restrictions on other roads.
The revised arrangement applies specifically to the route and starting point of the 5-km marathon. ANACS has stated that all other details concerning the RED RUN Marathon will remain unchanged.
With the event scheduled for September 11, participants have been asked to take note of the revised route and the possible road blockages associated with the recruitment process while making their way to the starting point.
The updated route will bring participants back to JNRM after covering Flag Point, Mazar and the Science Centre, completing the five-kilometre event at the same location from which it begins.
