Power Supply May Be Affected as Panther-I and Panther-II 33 kV Lines Undergo Maintenance on October 13

Date:

Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 13: Power supply through the Panther-I and Panther-II 33 kV tie lines may be disrupted on today as the Electricity Department carries out line clearance and routine preventive maintenance between 7.30 am and 1 pm.

The department has scheduled the work to support the safety and reliability of the power supply system. Both lines will remain isolated during the maintenance window, and officials may interrupt electricity supply through the affected lines as required to carry out the work safely.

Consumers and government departments have been advised to make necessary arrangements for the scheduled period, keeping in mind that the actual duration of the work may vary.

The department said the announced timings are tentative and subject to weather conditions. If maintenance finishes ahead of schedule, officials will charge the lines earlier than the stated deadline, allowing supply through them to resume accordingly.

Consumers can check the Electricity Department’s website, https://vidyut.andaman.gov.in, for further information. Those experiencing power supply-related issues can register complaints through the toll-free helpline, 1800-345-1111.

The department has advised all concerned to account for possible interruptions while planning activities during the maintenance period.
