Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 24: Power supply will remain suspended for up to seven hours across several parts of Sri Vijaya Puram on September 26 as the Electricity Department undertakes underground cable repairs, line clearance and preparedness work ahead of the Durga Puja celebrations.
The shutdown is scheduled from 7 AM to 2 PM under the jurisdiction of the HQ Division. The department has informed electricity consumers, the general public and government departments about the planned interruption. The stated shutdown period is tentative, and feeders will be recharged earlier if the work is completed before the scheduled time.
The affected areas include Vidhyut Bhawan, Electricity HQ Office, SVPMC Auditorium, APWD CE Office, Secretariat, Court Complex, PAO, Lok Niwas, Gandhi Park, Shadipur, South Point, Mazaar Pahad, Machi Line, RGT Road, Government Press and JNRM.
Other affected locations include part of Gurudwara Line, Bengali Club, Biggi Lane, Anthropological Museum, Middle Point, Link Road, VIP Road, Police Line, part of Junglighat, Dairy Farm Junction, CPWD Complex, Lamba Line, Ranchi Tekery and School Line.
The interruption will also cover part of Minnie Bay, Rajasthan Mandir, ALHW Colony, Hawaghar Junction, Dudh Line, Nayagaon, Bargat Line, GPRA Colony and Corbyn’s Junction.
Consumers in the affected areas have been advised to account for the scheduled interruption while the department carries out the work. The planned maintenance is linked to both underground cable repair and line clearance, alongside preparations for the upcoming Durga Puja celebrations.
