JNRM to Publish UG Final Merit List on July 18, Admission Counselling From July 20

Sri Vijaya Puram, July 15: Jawaharlal Nehru Rajkeeya Mahavidyalaya (JNRM), a constituent college of NSCBIHL (Deemed to be University), has announced that the category-wise final merit list for admission to its undergraduate programmes for the academic session 2026-27 will be published on July 18, following the disposal of all claims and objections received through the Common College Admission Portal (CCAP). The counselling process will commence from July 20, with admissions to be completed on the respective counselling dates.

According to the notification, the final merit list will be uploaded on the CCAP website after all claims and objections are examined. Regular classes for admitted students will begin from July 27.

The counselling process will be conducted at the JNRM campus in Sri Vijaya Puram for admission to 1,296 seats across various undergraduate programmes. Candidates have been instructed to attend counselling strictly according to the All Category Final Merit List, following the serial number, session and subject allotted to them.

Candidates seeking admission under reserved categories, including Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Divyang, Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Ward of Central Government Employees, Ex-servicemen and JNRM categories, have been directed to attend the forenoon counselling session for their respective courses. The institution stated that admissions under reserved categories will be completed at the first instance through separately prepared category-wise merit lists.

General category candidates have been asked to attend counselling according to their merit serial numbers and the session allotted. The afternoon counselling session will be conducted only if seats remain vacant after completion of the morning session.

The counselling schedule will begin on July 20 with admissions for BPES, B.Sc. Geography and B.Com courses. Counselling for B.Sc. Chemistry, B.A. Economics and B.A. English will be held on July 21, followed by B.Sc. Botany, BBA (Tourism) and B.Sc. Physics on July 22. Admissions for B.Sc. Zoology, B.Sc. Home Science and B.A. Political Science are scheduled for July 23, while B.A. History, BCA and B.Sc. Mathematics counselling will take place on July 24. The final day of counselling on July 25 will cover B.A. Hindi, B.A. Bengali and B.A. Tamil.

Candidates have been instructed to report by 8.30 a.m. on their respective counselling dates at the designated venues within the college campus. They must carry all original certificates for verification along with one set of photocopies for submission during admission.

The institution has also stated that candidates seeking admission to the Bachelor of Physical Education and Sports (BPES) programme must appear for a Physical Fitness Test in accordance with NSCBIHL norms and are required to attend in proper sports attire.

JNRM has made it clear that candidates who fail to attend counselling on the specified date and time will forfeit their claim for admission, and the next eligible candidate in the merit list will be considered for the vacant seat.
