The A&N Administration has issued a public advisory regarding field firing practice scheduled to be conducted at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Dweep (NSCB Dweep) on May 14, 2025. The drill will take place between 3:30 PM and 5:30 PM under the powers conferred by the Manoeuvres, Field Firing and Artillery Practice Act, 1938.
Civilians and fishermen have been strictly warned to avoid the designated area during the firing hours to ensure public safety. Fishing vessels have also been directed not to operate near the firing zone during the stated time window.
Authorities have reiterated that the advisory is mandatory and aimed at preventing any mishaps during the routine defence exercises.
