Sri Vijaya Puram, July 15: The North and Middle Andaman District Administration has restored 1.5 hectares of Government revenue land during an anti-encroachment drive in Radhanagar Village under Diglipur Tehsil, continuing its action against unauthorized occupation of public land.
The eviction operation was carried out at six different locations in Radhanagar Village, where encroachments in the form of temporary sheds, arecanut plantations and banana plantations had been established on Government land.
According to the District Administration, the operation resulted in the removal of all identified encroachments, following which the 1.5-hectare area was restored to the Government Revenue Records.

The anti-encroachment drive forms part of the Administration’s continuing efforts to protect Government land from unauthorized occupation and ensure that public land remains free from illegal encroachments.
Officials stated that the eviction exercise was conducted as part of the Administration’s ongoing enforcement measures against encroachments on Government revenue land in the district.
The District Administration reiterated that action against illegal occupation of Government land will continue in accordance with the provisions of the law. It maintained that protecting public property remains a priority and that enforcement drives will be carried out wherever unauthorized encroachments are identified.

The Administration also appealed to members of the public to refrain from encroaching upon Government land and to cooperate in safeguarding public property.
According to the Administration, preventing unauthorized occupation of Government land is essential for maintaining accurate revenue records and protecting public assets.
The latest operation at Radhanagar Village adds to the District Administration’s continuing anti-encroachment initiatives aimed at restoring Government land and ensuring compliance with revenue laws.
