A&N Islands Record 81.08% Pass Percentage in CBSE Class XII Results

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the Class XII AISSCE results for the academic session 2025-26 on May 13. In the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, 4,012 students passed the examination out of 4,948 candidates, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 81.08 per cent. A total of 524 students were placed in the compartment category. Ten schools from the Islands secured 100 per cent results. At the national level, the overall pass percentage stood at 85.20 per cent, with girls outperforming boys once again.

Sri Vijaya Puram, May 15: The results of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) All India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE) Class XII for the academic session 2025-26 were announced on May 13.

According to data obtained from CBSE , a total of 4,948 students from various management schools across the Andaman and Nicobar Islands appeared for the examination this year.

Out of the total candidates, 4,012 students successfully passed the examination, while 524 students were placed in the compartment category.

The overall pass percentage recorded for the Andaman and Nicobar Islands stands at 81.08 per cent.

Officials stated that several schools across the Islands recorded strong performances in the examination, with ten institutions achieving a 100 per cent pass result in Class XII.

The schools that secured 100 per cent results are Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Chouldari, Government Senior Secondary School Bengali, Government Senior Secondary School Long Island, Government Senior Secondary School Tushnabad, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Lamba Line, Crescent Public School, Navy Children School Minnie Bay, Saraswati Shishu Mandir School and St. Xavier School Mannarghat.

At the national level, the CBSE Class XII results were declared at 1:30 pm on Wednesday.

According to CBSE data, the overall national pass percentage for Class XII examinations stood at 85.20 per cent this year, registering a decline of 3.19 percentage points compared to the previous academic session.

A total of 18,57,517 students had registered for the examinations across the country, out of which 17,68,968 students successfully passed.

In gender-wise performance, girls continued to outperform boys in the CBSE Class XII examinations.

The pass percentage among girls stood at 88.86 per cent in 2026, compared to 91.64 per cent recorded in 2025.

Among boys, the pass percentage was recorded at 82.13 per cent this year against 85.70 per cent last year.

CBSE also stated that transgender candidates maintained a 100 per cent pass percentage, the same as recorded in the previous academic session.

Students can access their results through official CBSE websites and digital platforms including DigiLocker and UMANG.
