A&N Police Recruitment Application Deadline Extended Till May 26

Candidates will also be allowed to edit submitted applications through a correction window available till May 28. Sri Vijaya Puram, May 15: The Andaman and Nicobar Police have extended the last date for submission of online applications for recruitment to various Group ‘B’ (Non-Gazetted) and Group ‘C’ posts in the department.

According to an official notification, candidates can now submit their online applications till May 26, 2026, up to 11:59 pm.

The extension has been provided to allow additional time for eligible candidates to complete the online application process for the recruitment drive being conducted by the Andaman and Nicobar Police.

However, authorities clarified that the cut-off date for determining eligibility criteria will remain unchanged as May 17, 2026.

All eligibility conditions related to age, educational qualification, valid certificates, driving licences and other required documents must be fulfilled by candidates on or before May 17, irrespective of the extended deadline for application submission.

The recruitment notification and detailed eligibility conditions are available on the official websites of the Andaman and Nicobar Administration and the Andaman and Nicobar Police.

The candidates to carefully verify their eligibility and ensure that all required documents are valid and available before applying.

In addition to extending the application deadline, the police department has also announced that the correction window for editing submitted online applications will remain open till May 28, 2026, up to 11:59 pm.

Candidates who have already submitted their applications will be able to make necessary corrections or updates within the stipulated correction period.

The recruitment process has generated considerable interest among job aspirants across the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, where government employment continues to remain one of the major sources of stable career opportunities for young people.

Police recruitment drives in the Islands often witness participation from candidates residing in South Andaman as well as remote and outer island regions, including North and Middle Andaman, Little Andaman and Nicobar areas.

Officials have advised applicants to complete the registration process well before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues or server congestion caused by heavy online traffic.

The recruitment drive includes vacancies under various Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ categories in the police department. Detailed information regarding the number of vacancies, eligibility criteria, physical standards and selection procedures has been provided in the recruitment notice issued earlier by the department.
