Sri Vijaya Puram, July 28: The Andaman and Nicobar Administration has published the provisional merit list of eligible candidates seeking nomination against reserved seats in medical and allied courses at mainland institutions for the 2026–27 academic session, opening a limited window for candidates to raise claims or objections before the list is finalised.
According to the Administration, the course-wise and discipline-wise provisional merit lists have been prepared for eligible candidates from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands who applied for nomination to reserved seats in Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS), Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) under the Malayalee Origin category, and BAMS under the Malayalee Origin category.
The provisional merit lists will be available for inspection on the Common College Admission Portal from July 28, 2026. The publication of the lists allows candidates to verify their details and raise any claims, objections or petitions within the prescribed time frame.
Candidates wishing to challenge any entry in the provisional merit list have been asked to submit their claims, objections or petitions to the Assistant Secretary (Higher Education), Andaman and Nicobar Administration, Secretariat, on or before 5 pm on July 31, 2026.
The Administration has specified that every claim or objection must bear the signature of the candidate concerned. Applicants must also include essential details, including their name and address, the nature of the claim or complaint, registration number, the course applied for, category of the candidate and the serial number appearing in the provisional merit list.
Officials have clarified that applications lacking any of the required information will not be considered. Such submissions will be summarily rejected without further consideration.
The Administration has also made it clear that no claims, objections or petitions will be accepted after the prescribed deadline. Candidates have therefore been advised to complete the verification process and submit any representations within the stipulated period.
The provisional merit list forms part of the admission process for reserved medical and allied seats allotted to eligible candidates from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands at mainland institutions for the 2026–27 academic session. The objection period provides applicants with an opportunity to seek corrections or raise concerns before the merit list is finalised.
