A&N Tourism Invites Digital Creators to Enter Reels Contest Ahead of World Tourism Day 2026

Date:

Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 11: The Directorate of Tourism, A&N Administration, has invited influencers, digital content creators and other interested participants to enter a promotional video and Reels competition being organised as part of World Tourism Day 2026 celebrations in the Islands.

The entries must be submitted by 4 pm on September 23, ahead of the World Tourism Day celebrations scheduled for September 27. The initiative seeks to use digital content to showcase the tourism attractions, experiences, culture and heritage of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

The Directorate is organising the celebrations in collaboration with tourism stakeholders around the theme “Digital Agenda and Artificial Intelligence to Redesign Tourism”. The programme aims to encourage the adoption of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in tourism while promoting innovation and entrepreneurship among youth and tourism stakeholders.

Participants in the competition can produce short tourism promotional videos or Reels ranging from one to three minutes. The content should highlight the tourism potential of the Islands through subjects such as natural landscapes, beaches, adventure and water-based activities, eco-tourism, wildlife, culture, heritage and traditions.

Entries can also feature local cuisine, art, handicrafts and other distinctive tourism experiences of the Islands. The competition is intended to provide a digital platform for participants to present these aspects through innovative content.

The top three winners will receive cash prizes of Rs.10,000, Rs.8,000 and Rs.5,000, respectively, along with certificates. Entries will be assessed on creativity, originality, content quality, tourism appeal, effective use of digital media and overall promotional value.

The Directorate has stipulated that at least 10 eligible entries or participations must be received for the competition to undergo fair judgement. The Competent Authority will retain the right to accept or reject any entry.

Interested participants can submit their entries by email to photounitiptdepartment@gmail.com on or before September 23, 2026, at 4 pm.

The initiative forms part of the Islands’ World Tourism Day 2026 observance, with the Directorate seeking participation from content creators, influencers, digital storytellers and other interested participants in developing digital content around the region’s tourism offerings.
