Sri Vijaya Puram, August 17: Jawaharlal Nehru Rajkeeya Mahavidyalaya (JNRM), a constituent college of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Island Institute of Higher Learning (NSCBIHL), has announced spot admissions for vacant undergraduate seats across multiple disciplines, offering another opportunity for eligible candidates to secure admission for the current academic session.
The spot admission process will be conducted on August 19, 2026, from 9 a.m. in the respective academic departments. The admissions will cover vacant seats in B.A. (English), B.A. (Hindi), B.A. (Bengali), B.A. (Tamil), B.A. (History), B.A. (Economics), B.Sc. (Mathematics), B.Sc. (Physics), B.Sc. (Home Science), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) programmes.
The college has opened the admission process to three categories of candidates. These include students who have already submitted online applications, eligible candidates who did not apply online, and students who have cleared the CBSE compartment examination.
Candidates seeking admission have been instructed to report to the concerned departments on the scheduled date with all required documents for verification. The verification process will be carried out before admission formalities are completed.
Applicants must produce the original Class 12 marksheet, which will be retained by the college. They are also required to submit the original Transfer Certificate (TC) or School Leaving Certificate, which will likewise remain with the institution after admission.
In addition, candidates must carry the original Class 10 pass certificate for verification of their date of birth. Those claiming reservation or other eligible benefits must present the relevant original category certificates, including Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Persons with Disabilities (PH), Ward of Central Government Servants/Ex-Servicemen, or Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), as applicable.
Students have also been asked to bring one passport-size photograph with a white background along with one set of photocopies of all required documents for submission during the admission process.
The spot admission exercise is intended to fill the remaining vacant seats across the listed undergraduate programmes and provide eligible students with another opportunity to enrol before the admission process concludes.
