Young Leaders Discuss Viksit Bharat Vision at MY Bharat Roundtable in Sri Vijaya Puram

Sri Vijaya Puram, July 30: MY Bharat, Sri Vijaya Puram, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, organised the Young Professionals Roundtable 2026 at Tagore Government College of Education (TGCE), Sri Vijaya Puram, bringing together young professionals, students, academicians, entrepreneurs and experts to discuss youth participation in nation-building and the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047, with a focus on Women-Led Development.

The programme was conducted under the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2026 initiative, which aims to create platforms for young people to engage in discussions on leadership, innovation and development-oriented ideas.

Delivering the keynote address, Joint Director, MY Bharat, Sukha Ranjan Biswas, highlighted the role of youth as active contributors to India’s development journey. He said the Young Professionals Roundtable provides a platform to encourage innovation, leadership and constructive dialogue among young participants.

During the programme, participants watched a short film on the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD), followed by a presentation highlighting key inputs and the vision shared for achieving the goal of Viksit Bharat @2047.

Additional District Magistrate, South Andaman, Priyanka Kumari, attended the programme as the chief guest. Addressing the gathering, she encouraged young professionals to take up responsible leadership roles and contribute towards nation-building through innovation, social responsibility and public participation.

She also appreciated the efforts of MY Bharat in creating a platform that enables young minds to exchange ideas and participate in discussions related to the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.

Principal of Tagore Government College of Education, Manjulatha Rao, attended the event as the guest of honour. Secretary of Chinmaya Mission, Swami Suddhanand Saraswati, participated as the special guest, while Principal of Andaman Law College, Dr. P. V. N. Sarma, attended as the distinguished guest.

The programme also featured discussions by experts and professionals, including dental surgeon and entrepreneur Dr. Poonam Arora, physician and healthcare entrepreneur Dr. Ankita Banerjee, entrepreneur, author and heritage consultant Samhita Veda Acharya, and Editor-in-Chief of The Wave Andaman, Rashmi Rao.

Around 200 young participants, including students, faculty members and young professionals from higher educational institutions across the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, attended the programme. Participants engaged in panel discussions, interactive sessions and podcast activities during the event.

The programme concluded with the presentation of certificates and prize distribution to participants by dignitaries. The event highlighted the role of youth engagement and dialogue in shaping discussions around leadership, innovation and development under the Viksit Bharat @2047 vision.
