Sri Vijaya Puram, June 20: With concerns over transportation challenges and adverse weather potentially affecting students appearing for the Re-NEET (UG) Examination 2026, the South Andaman District Administration has established a dedicated facilitation mechanism to ensure candidates are able to reach their examination centres without disruption.
The arrangements have been put in place ahead of the Re-NEET (UG) Examination scheduled to be conducted on June 21, 2026. The initiative has been undertaken by the District Administration, South Andaman, in coordination with the Andaman and Nicobar Administration to provide timely assistance to candidates encountering travel or emergency-related difficulties.
As part of the support system, a Control Room has been established at the State Emergency Operation Centre (SEOC), Aapada Prabandhan Bhawan, Sri Vijaya Puram. The facility will function as a centralized coordination point for receiving requests and extending assistance to examination candidates.
According to the administration, students who face difficulties in reaching their allotted examination centres due to transportation constraints, unfavourable weather conditions or other emergency situations may contact the Control Room for immediate support. The mechanism has been designed to facilitate coordination and provide necessary assistance so that eligible candidates are not prevented from appearing for the examination.
To streamline communication, the existing emergency helpline network operated by the State Emergency Operation Centre has been designated for Re-NEET (UG) Examination 2026-related assistance. Candidates requiring support may contact the helpline numbers 238880, 240114, 240126, 244266 or 1077.
Officials stated that the Control Room will serve as the primary contact point for candidates seeking help in relation to travel and accessibility issues before the examination. The initiative is aimed at ensuring that logistical or emergency-related challenges do not affect students’ ability to appear for the national-level entrance examination.
The administration has reiterated its commitment to facilitating smooth participation of all eligible candidates and ensuring that necessary support remains available throughout the examination period. The measures are intended to strengthen coordination and provide prompt assistance in situations where candidates may encounter unforeseen difficulties while travelling to their designated examination centres.
