Gobardhan Das Appointed to NITI Aayog, PM Modi Praises Inspiring Journey

New Delhi, April 25: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday congratulated Prof. Gobardhan Das on his appointment as a member of NITI Aayog, describing his journey as one defined by perseverance, humility, and sustained contribution to public service.

In a message shared on social media platform X, the Prime Minister acknowledged Das’ work in the fields of public health, scientific research, and innovation, stating that his efforts have brought recognition and pride to the country. He conveyed best wishes for his tenure and encouraged continued contribution to national development.

Modi highlighted that the academic’s professional journey stands as an inspiration due to his consistent dedication and grounded approach. The Prime Minister’s message underscored the significance of his work in strengthening India’s scientific and public health ecosystem.

Following the appointment, Prof. Gobardhan Das described the development as one of the most significant milestones of his life. He expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for entrusting him with the responsibility of serving in the national policy institution.
