CUET-UG 2026 Results Declared; Over 11.6 Lakh Candidates Can Access Scorecards

Date:

New Delhi, June 23: The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Tuesday announced the results of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) 2026, enabling more than 11.6 lakh candidates who appeared for the examination to access their scorecards and proceed with undergraduate admission processes across universities in the country.

The declaration of results marks a crucial stage in the admission cycle for undergraduate programmes, with universities set to use CUET scores for admissions in the upcoming academic session. Candidates can now view and download their scorecards through the official CUET portal using their login credentials.

Confirming the announcement, the NTA informed candidates through its social media platform that the CUET (UG) 2026 results had been released and were available on the official website.

Official figures show that 15,68,867 candidates registered for the examination, while 11,64,098 students appeared. The test witnessed participation from across the country, reflecting the growing role of CUET as a common gateway for undergraduate admissions in higher education institutions.

The examination structure allowed candidates to select up to five subjects, resulting in approximately 67.56 lakh test attempts and 12,906 unique subject combinations. The wide range of subject choices contributed to a diverse examination profile covering multiple academic disciplines.

Among the candidates who appeared, around 5.78 lakh were male and 5.85 lakh were female. The examination also recorded the participation of two transgender candidates.

Following the declaration of results, the NTA advised candidates to download and preserve their scorecards for admission-related procedures. Students can access their results by visiting the official CUET portal, selecting the result link and logging in using their application number along with their date of birth or password.

The scorecard contains subject-wise marks, percentile scores and other examination-related details that will be used by participating universities during the admission process. Candidates have been advised to carefully verify all information mentioned in the scorecard, including personal details and examination records.

The agency stated that any discrepancy noticed in the scorecard should be reported to the concerned authorities without delay to facilitate necessary corrections before the commencement of admission procedures.

The results were announced a day after the NTA released the final answer key for the examination. During the review of objections submitted against the provisional answer key, the agency identified technical issues in seven questions. Those questions were subsequently removed from the final answer key, and the revisions were incorporated into the evaluation process.

The CUET UG 2026 examination was conducted between May 11 and May 31, while a few papers were held on June 6 and June 7. After the examination concluded, the NTA released a provisional answer key, invited objections from candidates and completed the review process before publishing the final answer key and results.

The announcement concludes the examination phase of CUET UG 2026 and shifts the focus to university admissions, with candidates now preparing for counselling and seat allocation processes based on their scores.
