Sri Vijaya Puram, July 22: The Andaman and Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee (ANTCC) on Tuesday organised the “Chhatron Ki Goonj” programme to highlight issues affecting students and young people, placing education, employment opportunities and examination transparency at the centre of public discussion. The event sought to draw attention to challenges faced by the youth and called for greater accountability and policy measures to address their concerns.
The programme was held at the Dairy Farm Community Hall in Sri Vijaya Puram under the aegis of the ANTCC Campaign Committee. It brought together party leaders, students, youth representatives and members of the public to discuss matters concerning the student community across the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
The discussions focused on access to quality education, employment opportunities, transparency in examinations and other issues of public importance affecting students and youth. Speakers highlighted these concerns and stressed the need for sustained attention to matters impacting the educational and career prospects of young people in the Islands.
Addressing the gathering, speakers emphasised the importance of ensuring greater accountability within the education system and called for fair and transparent examination processes. They also underlined the need to strengthen employment opportunities for young people and advocated policy measures aimed at addressing the aspirations and challenges of students.
The programme also stressed the importance of constructive dialogue on issues concerning the youth, with participants highlighting the need for continued engagement on matters related to education and employment.
The event witnessed the participation of party leaders, students, youth representatives and members of the public. Representatives from the print, electronic and digital media were also invited to cover the programme.
The programme was organised under the guidance of TSG Bhasker, Chairman of the Campaign Committee, ANTCC. During the event, he reiterated the party’s commitment to raising issues concerning students and youth and advocating reforms related to education and employment.
The programme concluded with a renewed focus on the concerns affecting students and young people, with discussions centring on education, examination transparency and employment as key public issues in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
