Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 25: The Andaman Association of Tour Operators (AATO), in collaboration with the Department of Tourism, Andaman and Nicobar Administration, will organise a blood donation camp and an open painting competition in Sri Vijaya Puram as part of World Tourism Day 2026 celebrations.
The blood donation camp is scheduled for September 26 at Andaman Club, with members of the tourism fraternity and the general public invited to participate. The activity will form part of the community-focused programmes planned for the occasion.
An open painting competition will follow on September 27 at the Andaman Club in Sri Vijaya Puram from 10 am to noon. The competition will remain open to all and will carry the theme “Andaman & Nicobar – A Destination for Tourism.”
Participants can use their artwork to depict the islands’ natural beauty, culture, heritage, marine life, adventure and tourism experiences. The organisers will provide A3 drawing or chart paper, while participants will have to bring their own painting materials. Watercolour and poster colour will be permitted.
AATO has invited students, artists, tourism stakeholders and members of the public to take part in both activities as part of the World Tourism Day programme.
