Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 21: The next phase of the Andaman and Nicobar Police recruitment Physical Measurement and Endurance Test (PM&ET) is scheduled to begin in Car Nicobar on September 21, following completion of the first phase in South Andaman and North and Middle Andaman districts.
The PM&ET in Car Nicobar will be conducted from September 21 to 23, while the test at Campbell Bay is scheduled from October 5 to 7. The PM&ET at Sri Vijaya Puram will continue until October 13, according to the recruitment schedule.
The first phase of Category-I PM&ET in South Andaman was completed by September 18, with 4,707 candidates appearing for the test. Following document verification and the prescribed physical assessment, 1,796 candidates were found qualified.
In North and Middle Andaman, 914 candidates appeared for the PM&ET, of whom 267 qualified after completing the required document verification and physical tests.
The recruitment tests are being conducted according to the notified criteria through a standardised procedure. Candidates are assessed against the prescribed physical standards and endurance requirements applicable to their respective posts.
The PM&ET includes a race, long jump and high hump, along with physical measurement of height and chest wherever applicable. The recruitment authorities said the process is being conducted in accordance with the prescribed procedure.
Candidates appearing in the upcoming phases have been advised to verify their allotted venue, test date and reporting time through their Admit Card and official communication and make arrangements to reach the designated venue on time.
The list containing candidates’ allotted PM&ET venues, dates and reporting times has been uploaded on the official A&N Police website. Admit Cards have been available for download since August 1, 2026.
Candidates must also carry the documents and other items specified in the Recruitment Cell’s instructions.
