Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug. 28: The Andaman and Nicobar Administration has invited comments and suggestions from the public, stakeholders and entrepreneurs on proposed amendments to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Industrial Estate (Allotment & Management) Policy, 2025, with submissions open until September 23, 2026.
The proposed changes aim to make the existing policy more efficient, according to the Directorate of Industries, which has prepared a draft amendment notification for public consideration. The exercise also covers the framework governing the allotment and management of industrial plots and sheds in industrial estates across the Islands.
The Administration notified the Industrial Estate (Allotment & Management) Policy, 2025 to bring greater transparency to the allotment of plots and sheds and to provide a framework for managing allotments in the industrial estates established by the Directorate of Industries.

The Directorate has established industrial estates in different parts of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands to provide entrepreneurs and enterprises with industrial sheds and plots along with basic amenities. The department has set up six industrial estates across the Islands, including estates at Dollygunj, Garacharama, Mithakhari, Hutbay in Little Andaman, Bakultala in Middle Andaman and Campbell Bay in Great Nicobar.
The Directorate has also indicated that additional industrial estates may be established in the future based on demand and requirements.
The proposed amendment has now been placed before the public and other interested groups for feedback. The draft notification is available for download through the Directorate of Industries’ official website.
Comments and suggestions can be submitted until September 23, 2026. The Administration has specifically invited responses from members of the general public, stakeholders and entrepreneurs as part of the consultation process.
Suggestions can also be submitted electronically to the Directorate of Industries at the email address provided in the notification.
The consultation provides an opportunity for those affected by or interested in industrial estate allotments to submit their views on the proposed changes before the amendments are finalised. The draft amendment notification forms part of the Administration’s effort to modify selected provisions of the 2025 policy.
The Directorate has made the draft available through its official website and has asked interested parties to review the proposed amendments and submit their comments within the prescribed deadline.
