Mayabunder Youths Seek Better Sports Facilities During Interaction With TSG Bhasker

Mayabunder, August 27: Concerns over sports infrastructure and healthcare services emerged during two separate public interactions involving TSG Bhasker in Mayabunder and Tugapur, with local youths seeking better facilities for sporting activities and discussions also focusing on services available at the Primary Health Centre (PHC).

Bhasker, Chairman of the Campaign Committee–ANTCC, met youths from Mayabunder led by youth leader Abraham to discuss issues affecting the younger generation, including those concerning Gen Z, as well as the development of sports activities in the area.

During the interaction, the youths raised concerns about the condition and availability of sports infrastructure. They sought better grounds, facilities and support for young people pursuing sporting activities.

Bhasker heard the issues raised by the participants and assured them of all possible assistance in addressing their concerns. The meeting also brought sports-related priorities involving young people into focus at the local level.

Bhasker was accompanied during the interaction by Alagar Swamy, Adhyaksh, Zilla Parishad, North & Middle Andaman; Sindhuja Raju, National Secretary and In-charge, Youth Congress; Ganesh, former Zilla Parishad member; Prakash Mondal, Pradhan, Uttara Panchayat; Diksha Dular, State President, Youth Congress; and Ameer Bax, former Vice Chairman, Minority Department. The accompanying representatives also assured the youths that they would take up the issues at their respective levels.

Later, Bhasker, who is also Chairman of the TSG Charitable Foundation, visited the PHC at Tugapur, where he met admitted patients and enquired about their health and the treatment being provided to them.

The visit included discussions with doctors and medical staff regarding the facilities and services currently available at the health centre. The interaction focused on the concerns and requirements associated with healthcare delivery at the PHC.

Bhasker was accompanied during the Tugapur visit by Alagar Swamy, Adhyaksh, Zilla Parishad, North & Middle Andaman; K.K. Sikder, former Zilla Parishad member, Tugapur; Ganesh, former Zilla Parishad member; Prakash Mondal, Pradhan, Uttara Panchayat; Vadivelu, PRI member; and P.T. Paul, social worker.

The two engagements covered youth and sports concerns in Mayabunder alongside an assessment of patient care and facilities at Tugapur PHC, bringing local development and public-service issues into the discussion.
