DIET Garacharma Releases Final D.El.Ed Merit List; Counselling Set for August 31 and September 1

Sri Vijaya Puram, August 18: Candidates shortlisted for admission to the two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) course at Dr. S. Radhakrishnan District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Garacharma, will have to appear for counselling on the dates specified by the institute for the 2026–27 academic session. The Final Merit List has been published on the Common College Admission Portal (CCAP) and is also available on the notice board of Dr. S. R. DIET, Garacharma.

The counselling process will begin with candidates from the Humanities stream on Monday, August 31, at 9 am at the auditorium of Dr. S. R. DIET, Garacharma. Candidates attending the Humanities counselling must report by 8:30 am.

Counselling for candidates from the Science stream will be held on Tuesday, September 1, at 9 am at the same venue. Candidates included in the Final Merit List are required to attend the counselling according to the schedule applicable to their stream.

The institute has made it clear that admission will remain subject to verification of the required original documents and fulfilment of all applicable admission requirements.

Candidates appearing for counselling have been asked to carry all original documents along with one set of self-attested photocopies of each document. They must also bring two recent passport-size photographs.

The required documents include a printout of the online application form, AISSE Class X marks statement and Class X pass certificate, along with the AISSCE Class XII marks statement and Class XII pass certificate.

Candidates must also carry their category certificate, wherever applicable, and a Transfer Certificate or Migration Certificate, if applicable. Those seeking benefits under specific categories must bring the relevant Teacher’s Ward, Divyang, Sports & Games, Tsunami Victim or EWS certificate, as applicable.

The document checklist also includes the candidate’s Aadhaar Card and a copy of the front page of the bank passbook, in addition to the two recent passport-size photographs.

Candidates have been advised to regularly check the CCAP, the official website of Dr. S. R. DIET, Garacharma, and the institute notice board for updates related to the admission process.
