ANSOA Unveils July Calendar for Yoga, Swimming and Athletics Meets

Sri Vijaya Puram, July 4: The Andaman and Nicobar State Olympic Association (ANSOA) has announced the schedule for district and state-level championships to be held throughout July 2026 in Sri Vijaya Puram, with competitions in yoga, swimming and athletics set to provide athletes an opportunity to compete across multiple disciplines.

According to the calendar released by ANSOA, the championships will be organised by the respective affiliated sports associations during July. The events include district-level competitions in yoga, swimming and athletics, followed by state championships in athletics and swimming later in the month.

The sporting calendar will begin with the District Yoga Championship, scheduled for July 11 and 12. The last date for submission of entries is July 10.

The District Swimming Championship for South Andaman will also be conducted on July 11 and 12. Athletes wishing to participate have been advised to complete their entries by July 10.

The District Athletics Championship for South Andaman is scheduled to take place on July 18 and 19, with entries closing on July 16.

The State Athletics Championship will be organised on July 25 and 26. Participants must submit their entries on or before July 24.

The State Swimming Championship is also scheduled for July 25 and 26, with the last date for entries fixed as July 24.

ANSOA has advised all interested athletes to submit their applications through the prescribed Google Form. The association stated that further information regarding the registration process, eligibility and the Google Form link can be obtained from the contact persons designated for each championship.

The announcement marks the commencement of a busy competitive calendar for athletes across the islands, with district-level competitions serving as important platforms for participation before the state championships later in the month.

The championships will be conducted in Sri Vijaya Puram under the supervision of the respective affiliated sports associations in accordance with the schedule released by ANSOA.

The association has urged eligible players to complete the registration process before the respective deadlines to ensure their participation in the competitions.

The July championship calendar includes five major sporting events covering yoga, swimming and athletics, bringing together athletes from across the islands for district and state-level competition as part of the organised sports calendar for 2026.
