TSG CSR Drive in Andaman Supports Patients and Children With Welfare Initiatives

Date:

Sri Vijaya Puram, April 22: A renewed push towards community welfare and social support was witnessed in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands as the TSG Charitable Foundation extended healthcare assistance and organised a welfare initiative for children under its corporate social responsibility programme.

In a key intervention aimed at addressing patient mobility needs, a wheelchair was donated to Ayush Medical following concerns over limited availability of essential mobility equipment at the facility. The initiative was taken to improve accessibility and support patients requiring physical assistance during treatment.

The support was formally handed over by a representative of the foundation in the presence of local stakeholders, with medical staff receiving the equipment for patient use. The intervention was driven by the recognition of immediate gaps in patient care infrastructure.

The initiative was led under the guidance of Shri TSG Bhasker, Chairman of the TSG Charitable Foundation, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen healthcare support systems across the islands.

In a separate welfare initiative, TSG Hotels & Resorts organised a special dinner for children residing at Pranab Kanya Sangha on April 20. The programme was conducted under its corporate social responsibility framework, focusing on child welfare and community engagement.

The initiative was guided by Managing Director G. Bhasker, with participation from senior representatives of the organisation. The programme created a shared space of interaction, where children were provided a dinner and spent time in an informal and supportive environment.

The initiative also emphasised engagement beyond material support, focusing on interaction and emotional well-being of the children. The event was described as an effort to build community connection through direct participation and shared experiences.

Corporate leadership reiterated commitment to continue similar social initiatives in the future, highlighting ongoing focus on welfare-driven outreach activities. Appreciation was also expressed towards the management of Pranab Kanya Sangha for facilitating the interaction with the children.

The children at the facility participated in the programme and shared a meal in a celebratory setting, marking the evening as a welfare-oriented engagement aimed at bringing social support and attention to institutional care environments.

Through both healthcare support and child welfare outreach, the twin initiatives reflect continued private sector participation in addressing community needs across the Andaman region.
