The Wave Andaman to Be Formally Launched Today

We are thrilled to share that The Wave Andaman will be formally launched on May 24 by Bishnu Pada Ray, Member of Parliament from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The launch ceremony, scheduled to take place in Sri Vijaya Puram, marks the beginning of our work as a dedicated news platform for the islands.

The Wave Andaman has been created to report on developments that matter to the people of these islands, covering governance, maritime activity, climate, infrastructure, law enforcement, public services, and community life. Our newsroom will focus on stories that are timely, accurate, and rooted in the everyday realities of the islands, while also connecting them to national and regional frameworks.

The launch event will bring together members of the media, local officials, professionals, and residents. It is not just the start of a digital news platform, but the beginning of a space for public interest reporting and open dialogue.

We believe that independent and locally grounded journalism plays a vital role in any democracy. With The Wave Andaman, we hope to build an editorial platform that reflects the priorities, challenges, and aspirations of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
