STS Bus Collides With Defence Ambulance in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Mini Bay Road

Date:

Sri Vijaya Puram, August 10: A sudden braking incident triggered by a cow on Mini Bay Road led to a multi-vehicle crash involving an STS electric bus, a Defence ambulance and two newly purchased cars around noon on Monday.

According to information available, a car approaching the spot suddenly applied its brakes after the cow was seen sitting on the road. Vehicles travelling behind it also braked and came to a stop.

Two cars and a Defence ambulance managed to stop safely, with no collision between them at that stage. However, an STS electric bus approaching from behind reportedly failed to stop in time and struck the Defence ambulance.

The impact then involved the other vehicles, resulting in a multi-vehicle collision.

The accident disrupted traffic movement on Mini Bay Road. The two cars involved were newly purchased, according to the information available.

Further details about the incident, including whether anyone was injured and the extent of damage to the vehicles, are awaited.

The sequence of events currently available indicates that the initial braking was prompted by the cow on the road, while the subsequent collision occurred when the approaching electric bus could not stop before reaching the Defence ambulance.

Details regarding the condition of the vehicles involved, including the STS electric bus, Defence ambulance and two cars, were not immediately available.

Further information is awaited to establish the full extent of the incident and any injuries or vehicle damage resulting from the collision.
