The global fitness brand Sheru Classic is bringing its celebrated bodybuilding and fitness championship to the Andaman & Nicobar Islands for the first time. The Sheru Classic NPC Regionals 2025, part of the worldwide NPC (National Physique Committee) circuit, will take place on November 16, 2025, at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Auditorium, Sri Vijaya Puram.
The event marks a significant milestone for the island’s growing fitness community, offering local athletes an opportunity to compete in an internationally recognized platform that leads to the prestigious Sheru Classic Pro Qualifier. Organized under the banner of NPC Worldwide, the regional event is expected to attract participants and enthusiasts from across India, setting a new benchmark for the fitness industry in the islands.
The competition will be helmed by NPC State Head Sameer Iqbal Bajaj and NPC State Manager Ayaan Iqbal Bajaj, representing NPC Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Adding to the excitement, the event will feature appearances by bodybuilding icons such as Pankaj Kapoor, known as Mr. Ludhiana and a close associate of Sheru Classic, and Sangram Chougule, a two-time world champion and one of India’s most celebrated fitness personalities.
With the theme #RoadtoSheruClassic, the event promises to be more than just a bodybuilding contest, it’s a movement to inspire health, fitness, and discipline among the youth of Andaman and Nicobar. The championship will feature various physique categories, showcasing peak human conditioning, strength, and aesthetic excellence.
The Sheru Classic brand, founded by renowned Indian bodybuilder Sheru Aangrish, has played a transformative role in bringing international fitness culture to India. Its regional NPC events serve as gateways for aspiring athletes aiming to compete on the global bodybuilding stage.
The competition will be helmed by the Organizing Team (NPC Worldwide India – Andaman), comprising State Head Sameer Iqbal Bajaj, State Chairman Aziz Ur Rahman, State Vice Chairman Dr. G. Selvaraj, State Secretary Aktar Hussain, and State Manager Ayaan Iqbal Bajaj. The International Powerlifting League (IPL) will also extend its support to the event, with Advocate Rakesh Pal Gobind serving as State Chairman, Angshuman Roy as State Vice Chairman, and Hemanth Dhingra as State Secretary, further strengthening the leadership framework behind this grand fitness championship.
The organizers have opened the official pre-registration process, which will remain active until November 14. Participants must fill out the official pre-registration form, which serves as the only valid and recognized registration method for the event. No self-registered or alternate forms will be entertained. Once the pre-registration is complete, payment procedures will be guided directly by the official coordinators to ensure a smooth and verified process.
