The Sheru Classic NPC Regionals 2025 concluded with strong participation from leading fitness personalities, officials, and athletes, marking one of the most energetic sporting events hosted in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands this year. The event saw the presence of key dignitaries, including Sameer Bajaj, Tanveer, Aziz Ur Rahman, Dr. G. Selvaraj, Ayaan Iqbal Bajaj, Om Prakash Angrish, Rishi Anand , and Angshuman Roy, highlighting its scale and significance.

The Wave Andaman served as the media partner for the championship, reporting a spirited turnout and growing enthusiasm for bodybuilding and fitness among islanders. Organisers noted that the event reflected rising community engagement in competitive physique sports and structured fitness activities.

Sheru Classic NPC Regionals 2025 energizes A&N Islands

Celebrity bodybuilder Sangram B. Chougule headlined the evening as the guest of honour. In his address, he encouraged islanders to strengthen their understanding of bodybuilding as a disciplined lifestyle. Chougule highlighted the crucial role of family support in an athlete’s journey and announced his intention to return to the islands to conduct specialised workshops that would help athletes refine their skills and approach to the sport.

Fitness icon Pankaj reinforced the message, stating that sports must evolve into a shared family pursuit. He urged parents and young individuals to embrace physical training collectively to build stronger attitudes toward competitive fitness.

A notable feature of the event was the martial arts performance by young island-based athletes, who showcased karate and Indonesian martial arts under the leadership of national-level gold medallists. Their energetic display earned widespread appreciation and spotlighted the emerging pool of youth talent in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

Organisers emphasised that the Sheru Classic NPC Regionals 2025 served as both a competitive platform and a catalyst for strengthening the islands’ sports and fitness culture.
