Villagers Attend North Andaman Camp Court for Direct Administrative Redress

Date:

The North Andaman Administration brought governance directly to the grassroots with a Camp Court organised in Kishorinagar, aimed at addressing public grievances and expediting local administrative processes.

The outreach initiative, conducted under the chairmanship of the Assistant Commissioner of North Andaman, Diglipur, and accompanied by the Tehsildar, enabled villagers and Panchayati Raj Institution representatives to raise concerns directly with the administration. Elected representatives and members of the general public attended the proceedings, marking a participatory forum for accountability and problem resolution.

During the Camp Court, officials heard and resolved multiple cases related to land mutations, sub-division requests, and other administrative matters. Several grievances raised by villagers and PRI members were noted and addressed, reflecting a direct effort to reduce procedural delays and enhance service delivery at the village level.

Following the Court session, the Assistant Commissioner conducted a field inspection of the Anganwadi Centre at Kalara Junction to evaluate the functioning of essential grassroots-level services. The inspection focused on operational efficiency, infrastructure, and service quality, highlighting the administration’s emphasis on monitoring welfare programmes directly.

Officials reaffirmed the commitment of the North Andaman Administration to responsive and transparent governance. Such outreach initiatives, they stated, are designed to bring public services closer to citizens while ensuring that grievances are addressed promptly and effectively. By decentralising administrative processes, the initiative seeks to strengthen trust between the government and local communities.

The Camp Court concluded with a vote of thanks to the Assistant Commissioner and participating public members, acknowledging their engagement and cooperation in the initiative.

Through the “Sampark Se Samadhan – Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” programme, the North Andaman Administration continues to prioritise citizen-centric governance, combining legal redressal with field-level assessments to promote accountability, efficiency, and effective delivery of public services across rural areas.
