NTA Sets July 7 Deadline for NEET UG 2026 Fee Refund Bank Detail Updates

Date:

New Delhi, July 6: Thousands of eligible NEET UG 2026 candidates could miss their examination fee refunds if they fail to confirm or update their bank account details before the July 7 deadline, with the National Testing Agency (NTA) urging applicants to complete the process through the official portal without delay.

The NTA on Monday announced that only 8,29,510 candidates have so far updated or confirmed their bank account details required for processing the NEET UG 2026 fee refund. The agency stated that the window for updating or confirming banking information will remain open until 11:50 pm on July 7, 2026.

According to the NTA, the refund process has already commenced for candidates who have successfully confirmed their bank account details on the official portal. Those who complete the verification process before the deadline will be included in the next phase of refund disbursement.

The agency has advised candidates who have not yet submitted or verified their banking details to log in to the official NEET UG portal and complete the required formalities at the earliest.

To update the information, candidates must visit the official NEET UG website and access the link titled “Final Opportunity to Confirm/Update Bank Account Details for NEET (UG) 2026 Fee Refund (Exam held on May 3, 2026).” After logging in with their credentials, candidates can review their existing bank account information, make necessary corrections and submit the updated details.

The NTA has advised candidates to download and retain the confirmation page after successful submission for future reference.

The agency clarified that the bank account details submitted after completing all required formalities will be treated as final. It further stated that requests for modification of banking information will not be accepted once the deadline expires.

Candidates have also been advised to carefully verify their account number, IFSC code, account holder’s name and other banking details before submitting the information to avoid errors that could affect the refund process.

The NTA reiterated that completing the confirmation or update process within the prescribed timeline is essential for eligible candidates seeking reimbursement of the NEET UG 2026 examination fee.
