Jindal Steel Ltd. has received the prestigious Supplier Excellence Recognition (SER) Certificate from Caterpillar Inc., a global leader in construction and mining equipment manufacturing. The honour positions Jindal Steel among an exclusive group of steel suppliers worldwide to be acknowledged for consistently meeting Caterpillar’s stringent global benchmarks on quality, delivery, cost efficiency, and innovation.
The recognition is seen as a significant milestone for Jindal Steel, particularly for its quenched and quenched & tempered (Q+Q&T) portfolio of products. Company officials highlighted that the award not only validates its performance but also reinforces its status as a trusted supplier to Caterpillar’s critical operations across the world.

Jindal Steel’s partnership with Caterpillar dates back to 2017–18, during which it has established itself as India’s leading supplier of Q+Q&T steel plates. These products are crucial for Caterpillar’s off-highway and large mining truck programs, underscoring the company’s contribution to Caterpillar’s global operations.
The relationship was further strengthened this year when Jindal Steel participated in Caterpillar’s centenary celebrations and the Global SER Event held in September 2025 in Dallas, USA. The event, which brings together Caterpillar’s worldwide suppliers, serves as a platform to recognise the best performers for their outstanding contributions to the company’s global value chain.
