A man from Jharkhand was apprehended by the Hut Bay Police in connection with a high-profile fraud case registered at Hut Bay Police Station in December 2025. The case, logged under FIR No. 78/25, involved allegations of financial deception causing substantial monetary loss to the complainant.

After completion of legal formalities, the accused was brought to Sri Vijaya Puram and presented before the court, which subsequently remanded him to judicial custody.
