Final Answer Keys Out for Forest Ranger Written Exams

Date:

The final answer keys for the Forest Ranger written examinations conducted in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands have been released, bringing closure to the evaluation process and the objection window opened earlier for candidates.

The examinations, conducted by the Department of Environment and Forests, were held between December 28, 2025 and January 4, 2026 as part of the recruitment process for Forest Rangers. Following the completion of the written tests, provisional answer keys were uploaded online on January 16, 2026 to allow candidates to review responses and flag any discrepancies.

Candidates were given time until midnight of January 23, 2026 to submit objections or observations regarding the provisional keys. Officials said all responses received within the stipulated deadline were examined in detail before finalising the answer keys.

After completion of the review process, the final answer keys were uploaded on February 20, 2026. The department has clarified that no further correspondence or representation will be entertained on the matter now that the final keys have been published.

Candidates have been advised to access the final answer keys through the official recruitment portal of the Andaman and Nicobar Administration. To view the documents, candidates are required to log in via the “Candidate Corner” using their registration number and password and then select the “Answer Keys” option.

Officials said the publication of final answer keys marks an important stage in the recruitment process, ensuring transparency and procedural fairness by allowing candidates an opportunity to raise concerns before finalisation. The structured objection mechanism, they added, is intended to address genuine discrepancies while maintaining the overall integrity of the examination system.

Forest Ranger recruitment is a key component of staffing for the Department of Environment and Forests, which plays a central role in biodiversity conservation, forest management and wildlife protection across the islands. The department’s responsibilities span protected areas, reserve forests and ecologically sensitive zones, making the selection of trained and competent personnel critical.

While no timeline has been indicated for the next stages of the recruitment process, candidates are expected to monitor the official portal for updates related to results or further procedures. Officials said all future notifications would be issued only through authorised online channels.

The department reiterated that candidates should rely solely on official communications and avoid speculation regarding the recruitment process. With the release of the final answer keys, the examination phase has formally concluded, paving the way for subsequent steps in the selection process.
