DSS Revises Sailing Schedule; MV Kalighat to Operate Campbell Bay Services

The Directorate of Shipping Services has revised its sailing schedule due to administrative reasons, with MV Kalighat replacing MV Bharat Seema and MV Sentinel on Campbell Bay routes later this month. Passengers holding tickets for the cancelled sailings have been advised to cancel them and obtain full refunds. Fresh tickets for the revised voyages will be available from May 8, 2026 through the DSS e-ticketing portal and STARS ticketing counters.

Sri Vijaya Puram, May 8: The Directorate of Shipping Services (DSS) has informed the general public that the previously announced sailing schedule has been revised due to administrative reasons, with MV Kalighat set to replace both MV Bharat Seema and MV Sentinel on scheduled Campbell Bay sailings later this month.

According to the revised schedule, MV Kalighat will now operate in place of MV Bharat Seema for the Campbell Bay voyage via Little Andaman, Car Nicobar, Chowra, Teressa, Katchal, Nancowry, Makachua and Afra Bay.

The vessel will sail from Sri Vijaya Puram on May 14, 2026 at 7 a.m. and is scheduled to return from Campbell Bay on May 17, 2026 at 9 p.m. through the same route.

Passengers holding tickets for the cancelled MV Bharat Seema sailing have been advised to cancel their existing tickets and obtain full refunds. Fresh tickets for the MV Kalighat voyage will be issued from May 8, 2026.

In another revision, MV Kalighat will also replace MV Sentinel on the Campbell Bay route later in the month.

Under the revised arrangement, MV Kalighat will sail to Campbell Bay via Little Andaman, Car Nicobar, Chowra, Teressa, Katchal and Nancowry on May 27, 2026 at 7 a.m. from Sri Vijaya Puram and will return on May 30, 2026 at 8:30 p.m. through the same route.

Passengers who had booked tickets for the earlier MV Sentinel sailing have also been advised to cancel their tickets and claim full refunds. Fresh tickets for the revised sailing schedule will likewise be made available from May 8, 2026.

The Directorate stated that passenger ticket booking for both revised sailings will commence from May 8, 2026 at 9 a.m.

Officials said that for the convenience of passengers, a QR code linked directly to the online booking portal has also been made available. Alternatively, tickets may be purchased through STARS ticketing counters across the Islands.

The Directorate of Shipping Services has requested passengers to take note of the revised schedule and complete ticket cancellation or fresh booking procedures accordingly.
