DBRAIT Invites Applications for Free PMKVY 4.0 Skill Training Courses Across Andaman and Nicobar

Sri Vijaya Puram, July 14: The Skill Development Programme Cell of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (DBRAIT), Pahargaon, has invited applications for free short-term skill training courses under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) 4.0, offering eligible youth an opportunity to gain industry-recognised skills and improve their employment prospects.

The training programmes are being organised by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) under PMKVY 4.0. Eligible candidates can submit applications on or before July 28, 2026.

The institute has announced admissions for four skill-based job roles covering digital services, fashion design, automotive painting and welding. The courses will be conducted at DBRAIT, Pahargaon, as well as its Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Centres in Car Nicobar and Diglipur for selected programmes.

A two-month Digital Mitra course at NSQF Level 3 has an intake capacity of 20 candidates and requires applicants to have passed Class XII or Class X with one-and-a-half years of relevant experience.

The Fashion Designer course at NSQF Level 5 will be offered at three centres, DBRAIT Pahargaon, DBRAIT TVET Centre Car Nicobar and DBRAIT TVET Centre Diglipur, with an intake capacity of 20 candidates at each centre. The three-month programme is open to candidates who have passed Class XII with three years of experience or hold a Diploma in Fashion Design and Clothing Technology with one year of experience.

The institute has also announced admission to the Automotive Body Painting Technician course at NSQF Level 3 with 15 seats. The three-month programme requires candidates to have passed Class XI, or Class X/ITI with one year of experience, or Class X with two years of relevant experience.

Another three-month programme in Manual Metal Arc Welding/Shielded Metal Arc Welding Welder at NSQF Level 4 offers 20 seats. Candidates who have passed Class X or Class VIII with ITI qualification, or Class VIII with three years of relevant experience, are eligible to apply.

The institute has advised interested candidates possessing the prescribed educational qualifications to register with the Skill Development Programme Cell before the closing date.

DBRAIT stated that the training programmes are intended to equip participants with nationally recognised skills, practical workplace exposure and improved employability under the Skill India Mission through PMKVY 4.0.

Eligible candidates may obtain further information and register for the courses by contacting the Skill Development Programme Cell at DBRAIT before the application deadline.
