Sri Vijaya Puram, October 3: The Department of Science and Technology (DST), Dollygunj, felicitated B.Tech Civil Engineering students of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (DBRAIT), Sri Vijayapuram, after they completed a 45-day Implant Training Programme, with the programme highlighting the importance of practical engineering skills and environmental responsibility.
Held on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, the programme recognised students for completing field-oriented training that exposed them to professional practices and the application of engineering principles in real-world situations.

During the programme, P. Uma Maheshwara Rao sensitised the students to waste management and segregation, focusing on responsible waste handling, segregation at source and sustainable practices needed to maintain a clean and healthy environment.
Altamash Mustafa, Coordinator and HOD, B.Tech Civil Engineering, DBRAIT, addressed the students on environmental cleanliness, Public Health Engineering, sanitation, sustainable infrastructure and other aspects of Environmental Engineering. He emphasised the role of civil engineers in promoting environmentally responsible development and protecting public health through sound engineering practices.
The training concluded with the distribution of certificates to all successful trainees from the B.Tech Civil Engineering Department, formally recognising their completion of the 45-day programme.
The initiative linked academic learning with practical professional exposure while reinforcing themes of cleanliness, environmental responsibility and sustainable development associated with the Gandhi Jayanti observance. It also gave students field-oriented exposure to areas directly connected with civil engineering, public health and environmental management.
