April 14 Declared Public Holiday for Dr. Ambedkar’s Birth Anniversary

Sri Vijaya Puram: All government offices and industrial establishments across the Andaman and Nicobar Islands will remain closed on Monday, April 14, 2025, to mark the birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The announcement aligns with a directive issued by the Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India.

The holiday will be observed across all union territory departments and is intended to honor the contributions of Dr. Ambedkar, the principal architect of the Indian Constitution and a revered social reformer.
