Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug 20: Candidates on the General Merit List for government Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands will get an opportunity to secure vacant seats across select trades, with counselling scheduled at Govt. ITI Dollygunj, Govt. ITI Arong and Govt. ITI Bakultala from August 24 to 27.
The vacant seats, which remain under certain categories across various trades, will be filled through the General Merit List, also identified as the Category-V/All Category List. The list has already been published in the Announcement section of the College Admission Portal for candidates’ reference.
Eligible candidates whose names appear on the General Merit List of the respective ITIs have been advised to attend counselling personally or through a duly authorised representative.
Counselling for Govt. ITI Dollygunj, Sri Vijaya Puram, will take place on August 24 at 9:30 am at the Marine Workshop, Govt. ITI Dollygunj.

For Govt. ITI Arong, Car Nicobar, counselling will be held on August 25 at 9:30 am at Govt. ITI Arong or Govt. ITI Dollygunj.
Candidates shortlisted for Govt. ITI Bakultala must attend counselling on August 27 at 9:30 am at Govt. ITI Bakultala.
Candidates or their authorised representatives must bring original certificates and documents for verification, along with one set of photocopies of all required documents. They must also carry two recent passport-size photographs and the requisite admission fee of ₹950 at the concerned ITI.
The documents required for verification include the qualification certificate or mark sheet, category certificate or local certificate, date of birth certificate, transfer certificate, Aadhaar Card and bank passbook.
Candidates have been advised to report on time, as late reporting will not be entertained. If a candidate fails to report within the prescribed time, the vacant seat will be offered to the next eligible candidate according to merit.
Candidates selected for admission will also have to submit a Medical Fitness Certificate within two days from the date of admission. Failure to submit the certificate within the stipulated period will result in cancellation of the admission.
In such cases, the vacant seat will again be allotted to the next eligible candidate in order of merit, without any further intimation.
The counselling process covers vacant seats at three government ITIs and provides candidates appearing in the General Merit List an opportunity to participate in the final allocation process, subject to document verification, timely reporting and fulfilment of the prescribed admission requirements.
