Sri Vijaya Puram, May 12: The Andaman and Nicobar Police has informed all candidates that a correction window will be opened for the ongoing recruitment process, allowing applicants to make necessary changes in their online application forms.
Recruitment notice was published on April 24 on the official Police website and the online submission process commenced on April 27, 2026.
The last date for submission of online applications is May 17, 2026.
According to the Police Department, candidates will be allowed to make corrections to their applications from May 13 to May 19 through the designated correction window.
Applicants will be permitted to modify details such as post preferences, educational qualifications, work experience, photographs, signatures and other permissible fields in the application form.
Candidates have been advised to carefully review all details before final submission after making corrections.
Officials stated that applicants should also keep a copy of the application acknowledgement for future reference and recruitment-related purposes.
The Police Department clarified that no requests for modification or correction will be entertained after the closure of the correction window on May 19.
Candidates wishing to rectify mistakes or update information in their application forms have therefore been advised to utilise the opportunity within the stipulated period.
The Department further urged applicants to regularly visit the official A&N Police website for updates, notifications and further information regarding the recruitment process.
The correction facility has been provided to ensure transparency and enable candidates to rectify genuine errors in their submitted applications before the next stages of recruitment begin.
The ongoing recruitment drive has generated significant interest among youths across the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, with candidates applying for various posts under the Police Department.
The recruitment process is expected to include multiple stages such as Physical Efficiency Tests (PET), written examinations, trade tests and document verification depending on the posts applied for.
Authorities have advised candidates to remain attentive to official announcements and avoid relying on unofficial information circulating on social media or other platforms.
The Police Department reiterated that all recruitment-related updates will be made available only through the official website and authorised communication channels.
Officials also reminded candidates to ensure that uploaded documents, photographs and signatures meet the prescribed specifications to avoid rejection during scrutiny.
The Department stated that the correction window is being provided as a one-time opportunity and candidates should complete all modifications carefully before final submission.
