Sri Vijaya Puram, October 3: A suspected electric vehicle car allegedly travelling at high speed hit a scooter and a motorcycle in a hit-and-run incident reported between 2 pm and 2:10 pm, with eyewitnesses also alleging that the driver was drunk before fleeing the scene.
The collision injured a young man riding the motorcycle, who sustained an injury to his hand. His injuries were not reported to be serious. The motorcycle, however, suffered significant damage, with its silencer and several lower parts reportedly broken in the impact.
According to eyewitnesses, the suspected EV car was travelling at high speed when it struck the scooter and motorcycle. Eyewitnesses also alleged that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. The allegation of drunk driving has not been independently confirmed.

The driver did not stop after the collision and allegedly fled the scene. Police arrived shortly after the incident and photographed the damaged vehicles and the accident site.
