Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 9: The Andaman and Nicobar Administration has opened the draft UT Sports Policy-2026 for public and stakeholder scrutiny, inviting views and suggestions before the policy is finalised. The Department of Sports & Youth Affairs has asked interested stakeholders and members of the public to submit their feedback by September 15, 2026.
The department prepared the draft policy in alignment with the National Sports Policy, Khelo Bharat Niti-2025. The move allows stakeholders and the general public to examine the proposed policy and provide inputs aimed at making it more effective.
The draft A&N UT Sports Policy-2026 is available for download through the official website of the Andaman and Nicobar Administration as well as the Sports Department’s official website.
The Administration has set September 15 as the deadline for receiving comments and suggestions. Submissions can be made directly to the Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs at Netaji Stadium.
Members of the public and stakeholders can also send their views electronically to the department at directorsportsani@gmail.com.
The consultation provides an opportunity for stakeholders to place their suggestions on record before the draft policy progresses further. The department’s invitation covers both institutional stakeholders and members of the public, widening the scope of participation in the policy-drafting process.
The draft document can be accessed through the Administration’s website, andamannicobar.gov.in, and the Sports Department’s website, sports.andamannicobar.gov.in. Feedback received within the prescribed deadline will form part of the consultation process on the proposed UT Sports Policy-2026.
