Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug. 30: Aberdeen Police have recovered stolen household and electrical items and arrested the accused in connection with two separate theft cases registered on August 25 and 26, with the recovery and arrests made within 24 hours of the First Information Reports (FIRs), according to police.
The two cases were registered as FIR No. 173/26 and FIR No. 175/26 under Sections 305(C)/3(5) and 305(a)/331(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, respectively. The complaints related to the theft of household articles, batteries and electrical items from separate incidents.
According to the police, the stolen property included three batteries, electrical wiring cables, one digital camera, one mixer grinder with jars, two emergency lights and one pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses.

Following the registration of the cases, the investigation was assigned to Sub-Inspectors Dinesh Jaiswal and Vikas Yadav. A search team was constituted under the supervision of Inspector Vijay Kumar, Station House Officer, Aberdeen Police Station.
The team comprised Sub-Inspectors Dinesh Jaiswal and Vikas Yadav, Head Constable (Selection Grade) Mohd. Rafique, Police Constables K. Jagadish Babu, Sandeep Kerketta, Deepak and Roney.
Police said the investigation resulted in the apprehension of the accused persons within 24 hours of registration of the FIRs. The entire stolen property connected with the two cases was recovered, seized and documented as part of the investigation.
The recovered articles included all the items reported stolen in the complaints. Police stated that the recovery amounted to 100 per cent of the stolen property reported in the two FIRs.
The investigation in both cases was carried out under the provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. Police said further legal proceedings will continue in accordance with law.
Aberdeen Police stated that it would continue taking action in cases involving theft and other criminal offences and urged the public to report such incidents promptly to facilitate investigation and legal action.
