TGCE to Publish Provisional B.Ed Merit List on August 21; Counselling Scheduled for August 27

Date:

Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug. 19: Tagore Government College of Education (TGCE), Sri Vijaya Puram, will publish the provisional merit list for admission to its Two-Year B.Ed. Degree Programme for the academic session 2026–27 on August 21, 2026.

The provisional merit list will be made available at 5 pm on the college admission portal under the “Announcements” section.

The admission process is being conducted for the Two-Year B.Ed. Degree Programme at Tagore Government College of Education, which is a constituent college of the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Institute of Higher Learning (NSCBIHL).

Candidates who have applied for admission will be able to check their names and provisional merit status once the list is published.

The college has also announced a schedule for submission of claims and objections against the provisional merit list.

Candidates who wish to raise any claim or objection can do so on August 22 and August 24, 2026, through both offline and online modes during working hours.

On August 23, 2026, which falls on a Sunday, claims and objections will be accepted only through online mode.

Candidates may submit their claims or objections in person at TGCE or send them online to the college’s designated email address or WhatsApp contact provided by the Admission In-charge. Such submissions must be accompanied by valid supporting documents along with a set of photocopies of the relevant documents.

The college has made it clear that candidates who fail to submit their claims or objections within the prescribed dates will not be considered at a later stage.

Following the completion of the claims and objections process, the final merit list will be published on August 25, 2026, at 5 pm.

Counselling for admission to the Two-Year B.Ed. Degree Programme has been scheduled for August 27, 2026.

The commencement of classes for the new academic session is scheduled for August 28, 2026.

All eligible candidates seeking admission have been asked to attend the counselling session on the scheduled date and time.

Candidates selected for admission will be required to submit their original certificates along with one set of photocopies of all original documents and the requisite admission fee on the day of admission.

The submission of original documents and payment of the required fee are mandatory for completing the admission process. Candidates who fail to fulfil these requirements on the day of admission will not be considered for admission.

The college has also stated that candidates who do not attend the counselling session on the scheduled date and time will not be considered for admission to the course. In such cases, the next eligible candidate in the merit list may be considered.

The publication of the provisional merit list will mark the next stage in the admission process for aspiring B.Ed. students seeking enrolment at TGCE for the 2026-27 academic session.

Applicants are advised to carefully check the provisional merit list after its publication and, where necessary, submit claims or objections within the prescribed window. The final merit list will be prepared after considering eligible claims and objections received within the stipulated period.

Candidates have also been advised to remain prepared with their original educational and other relevant certificates ahead of the counselling process.

The admission schedule sets out a short timeline between the publication of the provisional merit list on August 21 and the beginning of classes on August 28, making it important for candidates to adhere to the dates announced by the college.
