Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug. 19: Dr. Gyanesh Bharti, IAS, who has joined the Andaman and Nicobar Administration as the new Chief Secretary, called on Lieutenant Governor Admiral D. K. Joshi (Retd.) at Lok Niwas after assuming charge.
Dr. Bharti, a 1998-batch Indian Administrative Service officer, has taken over as the Chief Secretary of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, placing him at the helm of the Union Territory’s administrative machinery.
During his meeting with Admiral D. K. Joshi, who is also the Vice Chairman of the Islands Development Agency, the newly appointed Chief Secretary formally called on the Lieutenant Governor following his assumption of charge.
The meeting at Lok Niwas marks Dr. Bharti’s first formal interaction with the Lieutenant Governor after joining the Andaman and Nicobar Administration in his new capacity.
