B.Ed. Admission Deadline Extended to August 12 as Pondicherry University Results Remain Pending

Date:

Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug. 8: Candidates seeking admission to the B.Ed. Programme for the 2026–2028 session will now have additional time to complete the application process, with the deadline extended by three days to August 12.

The last date for submitting B.Ed. application forms has been moved from August 9 to August 12, following a request from Jawaharlal Nehru Rajkeeya Mahavidyalaya (JNRM). The extension comes as results for certain undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and the corresponding Provisional Certificates from Pondicherry University are still awaited.

The revised deadline is intended to ensure that eligible candidates affected by the pending results and certificates have an opportunity to complete the admission formalities within the extended period.

Candidates who intend to apply have been advised to submit their duly completed application forms, along with all required documents, on or before August 12, 2026.

The extension applies specifically to the deadline for submission of applications. All other terms and conditions contained in the existing admission notification for the B.Ed. Programme (2026–2028) will remain unchanged.

The decision follows the request from JNRM in view of the pending declaration of results for certain undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The availability of Provisional Certificates from Pondicherry University is also awaited for the affected candidates.

The extended window is expected to provide eligible applicants with additional time to complete the required admission formalities once the necessary academic results and documentation become available.

Candidates have been advised to ensure that their application forms are duly filled and accompanied by the required documents before the revised deadline of August 12.

The extension therefore gives aspiring B.Ed. candidates three additional days beyond the earlier August 9 deadline to complete their applications, while leaving the remaining admission conditions unchanged.
