Sri Vijaya Puram, July 13: Competition for admission to the five-year integrated B.A. LL.B. programme at Andaman Law College has intensified, with 942 candidates applying for just 45 seats for the 2026-27 academic session. The first round of counselling for eligible candidates has been scheduled for July 17, when admissions will begin based on the published merit list.
The counselling will be conducted at the auditorium of Andaman Law College, a constituent college of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Institute of Higher Learning. The process will commence at 10 am, and all eligible candidates have been directed to report at the venue by 9.30 am.
The final merit list of eligible candidates has already been published through the Common Online Admission Portal for Colleges (CCAP) and displayed on the college notice board. The list was prepared after examining objections and claims submitted by applicants within the notified timeline.

Only candidates who had applied for admission and have been declared eligible in the final merit list will be permitted to participate in the counselling process. Candidates have been instructed to appear at the designated venue with all original certificates and supporting documents required for verification.
The college has made it clear that failure to attend the counselling on the scheduled date and time will result in forfeiture of the candidate’s claim for admission to the course.
The admission process relates to the five-year integrated B.A. LL.B. programme offered by Andaman Law College for the academic session 2026-27. The counselling marks the next stage in the admission process following publication of the final merit list after disposal of objections raised by applicants.

With only 45 seats available against 942 applications received this year, the admission process reflects strong competition for legal education in the Islands. Eligible candidates are required to complete document verification during counselling to secure admission under the notified schedule.
The counselling process will proceed in accordance with the final merit list published on the Common Online Admission Portal for Colleges and the instructions issued by the college. Candidates attending the counselling have been advised to carry all original documents, as verification forms an essential part of the admission procedure.
